Another Mini Trip

This last weekend we went down to my Grandparents house, that we like to call the farm. It was so much fun. Unfortunately it rained most of the time, but it was just good to get away. We did have some moments of nice weather. During those time we would pet and ride the horse, ride the 4-wheeler and throw rocks into the ditch. Kyanna was especially funny she was both excited and terrified of the horse and the 4-wheeler. In one of the picture, you will have to look close, but mean Daddy wouldn't let her off the horse until she smiled. Oh she smiled alright, but it is so extremely forced that it is funny Will loved all of it. Hey even I got on the horse, and it has been a long time since I have rode a horse. Brett loves riding the horse and I have to say I am very proud of him, he got a very stubborn horse out for a ride. I was nervous while he was doing it, I had to go inside the house, but he did a good job. The kids had a great time, not to mention all the time that they got to play Barbies and Star Wars with Grandma!

Oh and I received a phone call tonight that my brother and his wife are at the hospital and are going to have a c-section tonight! I will give more info when I know more.

New Table

So I have had some request to show a picture of our new table on our blog. So here it is. We needed one badly, the old one just wasn't working for us. We were only using one side, it was difficult to clean under (not good with with two kids), and well it was just too big. So we actually got the table last Saturday in the scratch and dent section of RC Willey (just a little piece of molding is missing). The chairs were a different story, they were a $100 a piece so we thought well we are just going to have to buy one at a time to afford them. So on Tuesday we went to pick up the table and found two chairs in the scratch and dent area. So we asked the salesman if any sales were coming up for these chairs. Well it turned out that they are actually discontinuing the chairs and they were only $50 a piece so we bought two brand new chairs and two scratch and dent (no idea what is wrong with them). We want to buy two more, but the salesman told us to wait since there was a lot in stock and see if they go down in price. Weird, now that I think of it, for a salesman to tell us to wait. Oh well. We love the table we have so much more room in our kitchen and so much easier to clean under! And it has a leaf so we can make it bigger when we have guests too! So we are selling our old table on if you know anyone that wants a really nice big table! (nice plug huh, I even have a picture!)

Knock Knock

This morning Will's Primary had a talent show. It was fun to watch all of the kids see their talents. Some of the kids even had to be escorted down the stage becuase they were too dizzy, due to all the twirling and somersaults, so they wouldn't fall off the stage. Will told knock knock jokes and did very good. And uhm....he has bee saying them all day. So be prepared!

Mini Trip

Last night we went up to Midway where Brett's parents were renting a condo. It was so much fun. We had a blast going out to dinner at a restuarant that had a fire outside (the kids couldn't get enough of it) and then swimming afterwards. And then today we just walked around the resort, looked at the craters (which apparently you can scuba dive in, so I guess Brett will be going back up there), played in the condo, and went to lunch at Dairy Keen (that's not a typo). Anyways here are some pictures from our mini trip.

Well I hope that everyone had a great Mother's Day. I know that I did. My kids are just so darn cute that I need to post the videos that they made for me this morning. I think that the one of Will is especially funny. Just because he isn't feeling very well (that's not funny but...) it's just so evident in the video, he didn't try and make any effort for enthusiasm.

O.k. I also think that this is funny too. This is what I got for Mother's Day from my kids, apparently Brett let them pick out whatever they wanted to get me and they really took that to heart. So this is the result......

Yes those are UNO "Cars" cards and Tinkerbell cards. Good thing that I love them both. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who realized that I probably wouldn't be too thrilled with playing cards for Mother's Day and got me the Enchanted DVD as well. Yes and Brett has taken very good care of me all day. He made both breakfast and dinner and it was really good which is double plus! No just kidding he did a good job. I actually am feeling quite lazy tonight. Anyways that is all. Hope everyone had a great day!

Happy Mother's Day!

I have many memories of my mother. I think that one of the earliest one I have is her helping me learn to ride my yellow bike on a very cold Christmas morning. Oh how I loved that bike! I also remember her walking us to 7-eleven everyday to get a slurpee during the summer. Thinking back it probably wasn't everyday but that is how I remember it.

I remember her coaching my Young Women's basketball team, and how we won every single game that year, and only lost in the regional championship. And if many of you know me and my mom we are not big shoppers, but I loved going shopping with her (and still do) for clothes and how we could never make our mind up about what we want. And after spending what seemed like hours looking for clothes we would end up putting everything back and going home with nothing! And don't forget the many hours that we would spend at Lake Powell at night playing tootsie roll poker.

Unfortunately and probably because I was a snotty nose kid I never really appreciated my mom until I became one myself. I see her with my kids and I am truly amazed (and sometimes think this is not the same person who raised me!). She plays with Will and Kyanna from the time that we come over until the time that we leave. She is so patient with them. Also she has been extremely helpful to me. She is always willing to come over and help if ever the kids are sick or if I am sick. Just yesterday when both Will and Kyanna are suffering from the lovely Hand Foot and Mouth disease she left work to go get some medicine from the store and then later that night brought slurpees over for the kids. I am so thankful to have her living so close to me and that I can call her anytime and she is always there for me. I love you mom and I hope that you have a wonderful Mothers Day!

And Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

I Can Digital Scrapbook (sort of)

Last night I took a digital scrapbooking class from my friend Megan. It was so much fun. I feel like I learned so much, and in photoshop, and that is not the most easy of all programs (well for me anyways!) I made two pages last night. And today I did this one all by myself. I am so proud I just have to show it off. And don't worry Megan I saved it twice so I can still go back in and change it if I want to. At least I think I can.

Thank You President Bush

Last week we got our economic stimulus package, Yeah! So we decided just to do what it was meant for, Spend it! O.k. well we will admit we aren't spending all of it. But we are going to spend some of it. We bought the wagon tonight. We haven't gotten the swingset yet, but we plan on it. I am so excited I think that the kids are going to have so much fun riding around in the wagon. And of course playing on the swingset. So President Bush you may not have been the greatest President ever, but you are the first one to give us free money, so me and my family thank you.

For All You Mothers

Well I have been noticing some blogs lately about Mother's Day and I haven't had anything exciting or even not that exciting to post about this week. ButI have always wanted to share an e-mail that I got a few years ago from my friend, Lisa about mothers and then another one about being pregnant. I thought they were so funny. So here is to all the mothers out there!

For all of the Mothers out there!

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal afteryou've had a baby ..........Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "Normal," is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct .. Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring ......Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.

Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good."Somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices ....Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother. Somebody never helped a fourth grader with her math.

Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first.Somebody doesn't have five children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books .......Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery.... Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day ofkindergarten. or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."

Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back ......Somebody never organized four giggling Brownies to sell cookies.

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married....Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home Somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her....... Somebody isn't a mother.
