Starvation Reservoir

A couple of weeks ago we went on another camping trip with my parents up to Starvation Reservoir. I had never been there before but it was SO nice and pretty. The water was wonderful and just the right temperature, and as usual I only got out my camera once so I only have really one moment documented with pictures.
The night however was a different story. A storm was blowing in that night and when I say blowing I mean blowing so hard you actually though the tent was going to lift up and blow away. Everything sounds so much worse inside a tent anyways and poor William kept having the tent blown in his face. But that's what camping is all about being with nature in the best of it's elements! It was a good time!

I really can't believe that I just posted a picture of me in my swimsuit. I must not be feeling well.

Cheerleading Camp and some Fresh Eggs

A couple weeks ago the High school down here offered and cheer leading and dancing camp. It was cute they went for three days for two hours and practiced and then at the Blue and White game Friday night they were able to perform. Kyanna did really well I was very proud of her.
On this picture she is the second one in from the right
no she is the third one in on the right....wonder how that happened.
practicing in the gym. It was really cute they even let Jenna practice with them for a little while

Also I don't know if you have heard...but we got some chickens. And I guess Brett took a picture of the eggs that we get to eat. They are much more colorful and flavorful than the store bought ones. We even get a green egg everyday..but it looks the same on the inside. It's been fun having the chickens!

This is my One of My Favorite Weekends...

The 24th of July, and let me tell you why!

We start the night before, we go down to Monroe and we have a children's parade!

The we have a great big picnic in the park with all the town of Monroe plus all the tourists who have now caught on how much fun it is down here. Trust me I have been going every year for a VERY long time and it just gets busier and busier!

And since I was dumb and didn't bring my camera a few of the events are missing, but luckily my Mom brought hers so we have some!
After the picnic in the park, there is a three on three basketball tournament on Main Street. This is the second year that Brett and my brothers have played and well......they always come in third! ( we won't mention there is only three teams in their age catagory!) this tournament usually lasts until the wee hours of the morning!
Then we get up bright and early the next morning for a 5k race or a mile milk run. Yes William came in first place in the Milk run....he is awesome!
Then we get ready for a parade where they always throw way more candy that we can handle!
After the parade we either go back to Grandma's house and ride some horses, go for some rides on my brothers Rhino, go to the fair at the park, ride some horses, do a little fishing until fireworks that night.
It's busy but it's fun!

4th of July Weekend!

Still playing a little bit of catch up here....but over the 4th of July weekend. We took our first camping trip of the year. We went up to Joe's Valley with Mimi and Papa! I love that we live so close to all of this cool stuff. The kids always have so much fun camping. We did a LOT of fishing but didn't catch anything. The next day we decided to drive over the mountain through Miller's Flat and Huntington Reservoir, and one other that I can't remember the name stopped at each one and fished, had some lunch, did a little rafting, and ended up in Scofield just in time to watch fireworks over the lake. It was so much fun. We were sunburned and exhausted but I just think that means we had fun!
Everything was so green and so pretty
elevation was 9700 feet. Yup there was still snow. Barefoot in July in the snow!
