Sleepy and Grumpy

So last week we decided that it was time for Kyanna to sleep in a big girl bed in preparation for the new baby sleeping the in the crib. And I have been really impressed with how well she has done. She stays in her bed all night, she falls right asleep, and seemed to be adjusting fairly well. Unfortunately (and I knew this was going to happen) she has not taken a nap since we switched her over. And she has been TIRED. Last week we went to Lowes and at 7:30 she fell asleep in the car on our 5 minute drive home. But all in all it's been o.k. Until this today. She had a complete meltdown at about 5:00 p.m. so I put her in her room and she cried until about 5:30 until I found her like this.

This is right behind the door. Poor little girl. So tired. Too bad in was like 5:30 at night, but she still fell asleep tonight without much problems. I am not sure what I am going to do about this.

I know! I am kind of sad too!

(sorry about the butt shot!)

Well today we took Kyanna to get her first real haircut ever. I was really sad to cut her hair because it was getting so long and when we actually did her hair it was so cute. But it was just getting to be too much of hassle to take care of. Lots of tears have been shed over shampooing, combing, and doing her hair. And well I think that it will just be better for both mom and child if we make it a little easier to handle. I took her to Cookie Cutters, because I figured that she was probably going to cry and they would be ready for it and be best to handle it. But she did so good. She didn't cry, she looked down when they asked her too, and she sat still the whole time. I was very proud of her. And well....I think her hair looks pretty darn cute now! I really like the way that it turned out.

Disneyland part 2

Here are a few more pictures from Disneyland that I guess I missed on the slideshow and another video of Will in his Jedi training.

Disneyland

Disneyland was awesome!!! Yes we had a great time on our trip. I really had a good time, even being pregnant I was surprised by how many rides I was able to go on. But what was even better was watching my kids have so much fun. They truly enjoyed every minute of it. We completely exhausted them everyday. We actually had to wake them up in the morning. I am pretty sure that Will's highlight was when he was picked from the audience to train to become a Jedi knight, and was able to fight Darth Vader! (I have a video!). Will's favorite rides were of course Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear. Kyanna's highlight was when she was finally able to meet Tinkerbell, and yes we stood in line for an hour to see her, and she didn't even cry! Her favorite ride was the Merry-go-round! She was a little frightened by the other rides I think. The first day that we were there in poured and poured and forced us into buying some very expensive poncho's. But once we went back to the hotel room, changed into dry clothes, and put on the ponchos we were doing much better. And it was actually good because the afternoon was nice and I think the rain made a lot of people go home so we were able to walk onto many of the rides. The second day was beautiful not a cloud in the sky! It was lot's of fun to be there with Brett's family and for the kids to go on rides with their cousins.

Feb. 8 on Feb. 7

So I know that I was going to do an update about what we did each month on the 8th. WEll....this month I won't be able to since I will be spending most of my day in the car on the way to DISNEYLAND! So here is what I anticipate. Wake up in Las Vegas, go to church, somewhere. Drive the rest of the way to Disneyland, check into our hotel. And I really don't know what else, I heard that Disneyland does fireworks on the weekends so I hoping to watch them from our hotel room, since it claims that you can see them from there. I am so excited I have only been to Disneyland once when I was about 14. I did go to Disneyworld though. Oh well what I am most excited about is seeing my kids faces and watching them have fun. I'll take lots of pictures and post them later!
