My New Bathroom!

I know that I said the carpet and stove would be the first thing to go but a couple of weeks ago I was sitting in the bathroom......:).......and I thought to myself how can I lighten up this bathroom and not make it so boring. It was so white. White walls, white tile, white shower curtain, and kind of white counter top. And well if you ever saw my old bathroom in West Jordan you would know that is just not good with me.

So we painted! It's a really pretty blue and then I remember my friend Jill has these really cool bubbles on her wall and I thought, Hey I can do that!
And then we thought why stop with just the walls. The counter top and faucet are disgusting and more than likely as old as the house.

This is a picture of the old. Ugh....so gross!
And here is our beautiful new countertop and faucet. I LOVE IT!!!
New lights too of course and new towel bar also!
This is the final outcome. I just keep walking by it and smiling. I am very pleased!

It's amazing what paint can do. It's the cheapest part of re-doing a room, and yet has the greatest impact. I am SO jealous. When we bought our house, the first room i wanted to paint was the upstairs bathroom. But we never have because we think, "But we need new counters. And new tile. And actually a new tub..." so we just don't do anything. I'm so jealous of your cute bathroom!

So adorable! I thought they were just plain polka dots - I never knew they were bubbles. Heh! What was your kids' reaction when they see their new bathroom?
